Procesor unit Grizzly PSJ-M2 gen.4 (gearbox 2) - Grizzly

The fourth generation of the switching processor unit (PSJ) from the Grizzly company for AEG weapons with a version II gearbox. An innovative solution was to eliminate the firing interrupter, which complicated the installation of the unit. The current consumption has been reduced even more to 3.7mA and the firing modes have been modified to offer even more options. In addition, some new features have been added, such as an LED indication of the correct installation of not only the piston of the piston wheel, but also the trigger.

Of course, it retains all the great features of previous generations, such as magnetic contactless switching, a powerful MOSFET cooled by the whole body of the gearbox, adjustable active brake with the possibility of shutdown, programming of triggers and many other functions.

GEN.4 news overview:
• More versatile unit dimensions, usable in most gearboxes without modification.
• Simplified installation in a gearbox.
• Firing interrupter completely removed.
• Functionality is not affected by the polarity of the magnet on any of the magnet parts.
• Updated shooting modes, adjustable for semi and auto separately.
• Burst newly adjustable separately for semi (burst1) and separately for full auto (burst2).
• Brand new SEMI mode.
• Reduced CPU current consumption up to 3.7mA when idle.
• Unit tested in M210 spring and cadence up to 99 rounds / second.

Shooting modes:
• individually adjustable shooting modes for "semi" and "auto"
• allows you to set a short burst from 1 to 255 shots
• separate modes for Burst in "semi" (burst1) and "auto" (burst2) mode
• There is no delay when switching from semi to Burst or from Burst to full car
• The individual modes are set using the shutter button

Weapon cadence:
• allows setting the delay between individual shots (delay between shots in ms)
• allows continuous setting of cadence (set in%)
• trigger setting

Special modes:
• restart to basic settings - you can easily return the unit to its original settings using the shutter button
• SEMI mode - other settings will be ignored and the weapon will fire only single shots, independent of the firing selector (on the weapon therefore Secured - Individually - Individually)
• manual mode - in case the unit reports an error, but the user is sure that it is not a mechanical defect that precludes the ability to fire. In manual mode, the error will be ignored and shooting will only take place on a full auto
(CAUTION! In case of erroneous judgment, more extensive damage to the weapon and the unit itself can occur!)

Mos-fet:
• the unit does not contain any mechanical switch, all switching is contactless
• ensures a faster response when the shutter button is pressed
• increases the cadence of shooting
• current load up to 202A continuously and up to 808A short-term

Active brake:
• extends the life of the spring and other parts
• The entire wheel rotation cycle is always completed
• is fully functional in all shooting modes (semi, burst, auto)
• active braking force adjustable in steps of 10%
• Possibility to switch off the active brake completely
• when the braking is set to 100%, it always ensures an immediate stop of the engine after a shot

Gearbox fault detection:
• In the event of a mechanical fault, the unit reports an error and prevents further damage
• error reported by motor vibration

Li-Pol / Li-Ion / Li-Fe battery undercharge check:
• monitors the undercharging of lithium batteries, announces its discharge by four vibrations
• Setting the battery type with the shutter button
• for Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, the monitoring is switched off by the battery principle

Realistic trigger operation:
• during installation it is possible to set the sensitivity of the trigger - see the installation instructions at www.grizzlyairsoft.cz

Reversing latch:
• not necessary when using a powerful motor (nevertheless it is recommended to keep it)
• The unit solves the problem of a double shot on a semi

LED indication:
• to simplify installation, the unit is equipped with an LED indication of correct installation
• indicates the correct installation of the magnet on the piston gear
• LED indication connected to the motor - visually shows the vibrations of the motor
• An error message can be used to signal the correct installation of the magnet on the trigger

Everything is stored in the gearbox:
• the entire unit is stored inside the gearbox
• Only two power cables lead from the gearbox to the weapon
• The units have been tested for trouble-free installation in gearboxes of the following manufacturers *: AimTop, APS, ARES, ASG Ultimate, Cyma, DBoys, Guarder, RetroArms, SHS, SRC

* Every manufacturer innovates their products over time, so it may happen that the version we test is different from the version you own. However, installation is possible, but it may be necessary to adjust the gearbox.

Technical parameters:
• MOSFETs with current carrying capacities of up to 202A permanently and 808A for a short time allow use practically without restrictions.
• The entire body of the gearbox is effectively used to cool the MOSFET.
• The unit is covered with several layers of clear lacquer to increase its life even in demanding conditions.
• For the PSJ unit, the cadence is limited only by the technical parameters of the gearbox used and its components. The unit can actually handle up to 500,000 switchings (cycles) per second. The unit was actually tested at 99 rounds / second.
