How to dress for airsoft?
Are you starting with airsoft and wondering how to dress properly and what not to forget? In many ways, airsoft clothing is similar to military clothing. Above all, it should be functional, durable, and practical. At the same time, it should be comfortable for you to wear and should withstand even very adverse weather conditions.
Functional clothes not only for airsoft
Airsoft clothing is mostly produced in camouflage colors, i.e., beige, green, khaki, brown, or black. Thanks to its excellent properties, it is perfectly suited not only for airsoft or paintball, but also for military and hunting purposes. However, it may also be used by outdoor enthusiasts who like to go on hikes in nature.
The basis is functional underwear and good socks
Let’s start with the most important thing - the base layer that fits tightly to the body. This includes functional underwear, brassieres, and antibacterial socks. You can’t go wrong with pieces made from merino wool. Underwear should take away moisture well, dry quickly, and keep you warm at the same time. If you are going to fight in the cold months, breathable thermal underwear should also be part of your equipment. Also, equip yourself with functional trousers - whether long or short, and short- or long-sleeved t-shirts with neutral or tactical prints.
Be prepared for any whims of the weather
You should have an underlayer, but what to wear over it? For airsoft, the most practical are army and military jackets, shirts, and parkas in various shades, which will protect you from the sun, sharp wind and partly even rain. In spring and autumn, you can use tactical fleece sweatshirts or vests.
If you want to be prepared for a sudden burst of rain, complement your jacket with a practical raincoat or a waterproof poncho, under which you can also hide part of your equipment and thereby protect yourself and your weapon.
Clothing for young airsoft enthusiasts
Of course, we must not forget the young ones either. Whether your kids are seasoned airsoft practitioners or are just getting ready for their first season this year, they too should have the right equipment and be hard to spot in the field.
